Abstract

In many structural elements that operate in a large thermal field (elements of gas turbine and jet engines, etc.), special high-temperature alloys are used. In particular, the alloy is EI 598. The peculiarity of such alloys is that their coefficient of thermal expansion is a function of temperature. A mathematical model, a computational algorithm and a method for solving problems on determining the steady temperature distribution field along the length of a rod of limited length made of a heat-resistant alloy of EI 598 are developed. One end of the rod is rigidly clamped and the other is free. The lateral surface of the rod along the entire length is thermally insulated. The heat flux is introduced into the cross-sectional area of the clamped end. Through the cross-sectional area of the free end, heat exchange takes place with its surrounding medium. The elongation of the rod in question is also calculated from the field of temperature distribution along its length
